Submission of EPSS Results by BPS Tual City to Tual City Regional Government

Friday, October 25, 2024, BPS Tual City handed over the results of the EPSS (Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Implementation) assessment in the office of the Acting Regional Secretary of the Tual City Government. In this handover, the Head of BPS Tual City directly handed over the results of the assessment to the Acting Regional Secretary. The results of this evaluation reflect the level of achievement of Tual City in managing and presenting statistical data, which is an important component in data-based policy making.

The EPSS assessment process began in April 2024 with 5 stages, starting with an independent assessment by the TPI team, followed by a document assessment by the TPB team, then an interview assessment by the TPB team, a harmonization stage by the TPB team, and ending with the finalization stage.

This handover is expected to be a foothold for the Tual City Government in improving the quality of sectoral statistical governance. Through close collaboration between BPS Tual City and the Regional Government, the results of this assessment are expected to be a guideline for strategic steps to encourage more effective development that is in accordance with the needs of the community in Tual City.

This activity also reflects the commitment of the Tual City Government to continue to support the availability of accurate and quality data in order to create a responsive, innovative, and service-oriented government environment. This joint step is part of an effort to realize better governance, which is expected to bring positive changes to the development of Tual City in the future.
