Ground Check Launch for National Social and Economic Single Data

After the submission of the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to @kemenkopmri , @bappenasri , and @kemensosri on February 20, 2025, today (26/2) the Ministry of Social Affairs and BPS conducted a hybrid Ground Check Launch at the BPS National Statistics Command Center (NSCC).

The launch was attended by the Head of BPS and the Provincial/District/City Social Services, as well as PKH assistants throughout Indonesia. The launch was opened by the Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf and the Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti @amalia.adininggar and attended by the ranks of both institutions. After being launched, DTSEN ground check training was conducted for 33,603 Family Hope Program (PKH) facilitators in 1,120 online classes by Instructors from the central/provincial/district/city BPS.

According to Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2025, BPS's duties in developing DTSEN include managing DTSEN for the implementation of statistical activities, including updating and securing data. "DTSEN is the result of good cooperation and collaboration between many parties. We need to continue and develop this collaboration because the Presidential Instruction not only mandates BPS to receive data and form DTSEN, but also to manage DTSEN, including updating it," said Amalia in her remarks.

The updating was carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs by verifying data through field checks (ground checks) by PKH facilitators. BPS supports the updating by providing training to PKH facilitators.

Saifullah, who is familiarly called Gus Ipul, expressed his appreciation to the BPS staff for realizing this DTSEN. "The highest appreciation to the Head of BPS and his staff for preparing this. DTSEN is a new history for Indonesia," said Gus Ipul. He further said that this step was to strengthen the contribution to community welfare so that social assistance can be right on target.

DTSEN is a single database of individuals and/or families that contains the social and economic conditions of the Indonesian population and has been matched with population data
