September 2023 Tual City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 4.26 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 119.90. Meanwhile, Ambon City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.04 percent with a CPI of 118.48.
Of the 90 CPI cities, the city with the highest yoy inflation was Manokwari City at 5.26 percent with a CPI of 119.96 and the lowest yoy inflation occurred in Gorontalo City at 1.16 percent with a CPI of 113.23.
Inflation in Tual City occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most expenditure group indices. The price increase was shown by
The highest yoy inflation was in the Food and Beverage Supply/Restaurant group at 9.86 percent and the lowest in the Health and Education expenditure group at 0.25 percent. While 2 expenditure groups experienced deflation, namely the Recreation, Sports and Culture group by 0.18 percent and the Information, Communication and Financial Services Group by 0.01 percent.
Monthly inflation rate/month to month (MTM) (September 2023 against August 2023) Tual City experienced inflation of 0.61 percent. While Ambon City experienced inflation of 0.25 percent.
Calendar year/year to date (YTD) inflation rate (September 2023 to December 2022) Tual City experienced inflation of 3.96 percent. Meanwhile, Ambon City experienced inflation of 1.43 percent.
5 (five) commodities that dominantly contributed to the September 2023 yoy inflation in Tual City are: Rice (0.7296%), Air Transportation (0.7116%), Kite Fish (0.6641%), Filter Clove Cigarettes (0.4686%), Rice with Side Dish (0.3378%).
Meanwhile, the 5 (five) commodities that dominantly contributed to September 2023 mtm inflation in Tual City are: Household Fuel (0.2661%), Kite/Fish (0.1163%), House Rent (0.0979%), Rice (0.095%), Anchovy (0.0832%).
