Abstract

• In January 2022, 85 of Indonesia's 90 CPI cities experienced inflation, while 5 experienced deflation.

• Inflation in Tual City was 0.20 percent, with a CPI of 110.56, and in Ambon City, it was 0.34 percent, with a CPI of 110.16.

• The highest inflation was 1.53 percent with a CPI of 109.81 in Sibolga, and the lowest was 0.02 percent with a CPI of 111.34 in Manokwari. Meanwhile, the largest deflation was 0.66 percent with a CPI of 108.79 in Kotamobagu, while the lowest was 0.04 percent with a CPI of 105.83 in Jayapura.

• In January 2022, Tual City's monthly inflation was rated 83rd (Ambon City 78th), Tual City's calendar year inflation was 83rd (Ambon City 78th), and Tual City's annual inflation was 83rd (Ambon City 78th), and Tual City is ranked 9th year after year (Ambon City is ranked 3rd).

• Inflation occurred as a result of increases in many price indices across a variety of expenditure categories. With a CPI of 105.05., the housing, water, electricity, gas, and household fuel groups saw the largest increase of 0.89 percent.

• Price changes affect 60 different types of goods and services, the majority of which are food, beverages, and tobacco. Mackerel/lema fish, baronang fish, home fuel, non-foreman artisans, broiler eggs, gepe enbal, mobile phone credit expenses, cassava leaves, broiler meat, and taro were the categories of items that contributed the most to the inflation that happened this month in Tual City.

• Meanwhile, air transportation, tuna/komu fish, selar fish, mustard greens, eggplant, cucumber, cooking oil, kale, tomatoes, and scad fish/momar all saw price drops in January 2022, with the largest drops in air transportation, tuna/komu fish, selar fish, mustard greens, eggplant, cucumber, cooking oil, kale, tomatoes, and scad fish/momar.
